Services

Openismus offers software development consultancy, with particular strength in:

With strong ties to the Open Source community, Openismus is an ideal partner when you require specific improvements to existing open source software, or when you need assistance with open source toolkits.

For instance, we recently helped to develop the GTK+/tinymail-based Modest email client; created the gnome-lirc-properties GUI control panel for Infra-Red remote controls on Linux; created C++ APIs and documentation for popular C APIs using gtkmm; created custom input methods for GTK+ on embedded hardware; created database solutions using Glom.

You can find details on our blogs, but our clients request that we keep some information confidential.

Projects

Openismus also maintains these projects:

Glom

Glom is a database application for small businesses, providing functionality similar to FileMaker Pro, using the Postgresql server. It might also be used instead of Microsoft Access, but it is far easier to use than Access.

Glom allows non-developers to easily create database systems for small businesses or departments. By using Glom's built-in features, the resulting systems have a high level of functionality, with almost no programming or SQL.

gtkmm

gtkmm is the official C++ interface for the popular GUI toolkit GTK+, used by the GNOME Desktop. It integrates easily with standard C/C++ software tools and the LGPL license means that it has no licensing costs for most uses.

libxml++

libxml++ is a C++ API for the libxml XML parser. It offers a far simpler API than the underlying C library.

Bakery

Bakery provides a Document/View architecture for gtkmm applications, and implements standard functionality.
